“What kids do best outside.”

Vancouver Adventure Day Camps, by Vancouver Outdoor School, provide an opportunity for kids to participate in various outdoor activities while visiting some of Metro Vancouver’s coolest locations (Stanley Park, English Bay, Deep Cove, Grouse Mountain and more!)

Each camp is educational, mobile, small in participant numbers, and led by skilled and experienced staff. It’s a week for kids to be kids – unplugged, active and having fun!

Our Philosophy

We see Vancouver and its surrounding areas as a massive  playground for kids to go  hiking, swimming, paddling, creating and more. Oh yes…we allow our kids to get dirty at our day camp because that’s what kids do.

We are not your typical or traditional day camp as we are 100% active, mobile, outdoors and small-group focused.

We are also driven to keep our carbon and ecological footprint to a minimum. Why? Because it is 2017 and we all need to do our part to combat climate change.  We believe camps should be more environmentally-focused and operated in a more sustainable way.

What does that mean? We walk, hike, take public transit and, at times, take our adventure bus. We are not limited to one location (except for pickup and drop-offs). We pack it in and out, and, if we need to, we’ll pack out more garbage when exploring. Most importantly, we connect learning with environmental and outdoor education.

We know learning doesn’t just happen during school hours – it happens during the summer, too! Our staff are educators, instructors and facilitators who understand the importance of infusing childhood summer experiences with a sense of adventure, curiosity and play.
