Forest Camp is a 5-day overnight camp in North Vancouver, BC. Spend your mornings in cooking lessons with Sprouting Chef, and your afternoons learning wilderness and camping skills in the forests and trails of the Northshore.

Overnight Forest Camp

Dates: July 17 – 21, 2017
Ages: 8 to 12 (Co-ed)

Price: $589 plus 5% tax per week.  Includes 24 hour supervision, accommodation at Camp Capilano, cooking lessons with Sprouting Chefs, food, transportation (during camp) and all programming.

Locations: Camp Capilano, Grouse Mountain, Cleveland Dam, Lynn Valley Deep Cove and Stanley Park and Lighthouse Park.

Drop-off: Monday July 17, 2017 @ Camp Capilano

Pick-up: Friday July 21, 2017 @ Camp Capilano

Dates: July 17 – 21, 2017

Time: 10am – 2pm

Price: $325 plus 5% GST per week.  Includes supervision, transportation (during camp), cooking lessons with Sprouting Chefs, food and programming.

Locations: Camp Capilano, Grouse Mountain, Cleveland Dam, Lynn Valley Deep Cove and Stanley Park and Lighthouse Park.

Drop-off: Daily from Monday July 17 – Friday July 21, 2017 @ Camp Capilano

Optional Morning & Afternoon Pick-Up & Drop-off: $85 plus 5% GST per week. Daily bus transportation to and from Safeway @ Broadway & Commercial.

Forest Camp Highlights

100% focus on connecting kids with our local forests + hike the incredible trails of the Northshore + comfortable cabin accommodation at Camp Capilano +  introduction to the basics of camping, ecology, forest conversation and more + 24 hour support and supervision by experienced and skilled instructors + half day cooking lessons with our partner, Sprouting Chefs + participate in a half day environmental project (TBA)

A Typical Day At Forest Camp

7:00am – Wake-up and our famous Polar Bear dip

7:30am – Nature’s Best (walking, witnessing and/or playing in the forest)

8:00am – Prepare for breakfast

8:30am – Breakfast (theme day every meal)

9:00am – Clean up bunks and prepare for full day

9:15am – Forest games

10:00am – Sprouting Chef Cooking Lesson (Bon Appetite!)

12:00pm – Lunch in the Forest

1:00pm – B.O.B. (bodies of bed) Rest Time

2:00pm – Forest Camp field trip (hike, adventure skill, fort building, forest art)

3:30pm – Forest Skill Session (knots, orienteering, fire building, tree identification)

4:30pm – Free time (swimming, critter hunting)

5:30pm – Prepare for dinner

6:30pm – Evening Field Trip (visit Ambleside Beach, eat ice cream in Lynn Valley)

7:30pm – Sunset reflections

8:30pm – Campfire Magic

9:30pm – Brush teeth and story time

10:00pm – Lights out
