Ocean Camp is a 5-day overnight camping adventure on Gambier Island, BC. Leave the city (and your parents!) behind, and spend a week exploring, canoeing, snorkeling, and sleeping under the stars.

Camp Details

Dates: July 24 – 28, 2017
Ages: 8 to 12 (Co-ed)

Price: $589 plus 5% tax per week.  Includes 24 hour supervision, tents, cooking and camping gear, food, water taxi and all programming during the week.

Location: Halkett Bay, Gambier Island

Drop-off: Monday July 24, 2017 @ Government Dock, Horseshoe Bay

Pick-up: Friday July 28, 2017 @ Government Dock, Horseshoe Bay

 

Ocean Camp Highlights

+ an entire week living on a island, exploring coast line and trails, canoeing, swimming, no showers, snorkeling and more + awesome accommodation – sleep under the stars in a tent + connect with experts in marine ecology + 24 hour support and supervision by experienced and skilled instructors + participate in a half day environmental project (TBA) + be a kid in Howe Sound

A Typical Day At Ocean Camp

7:00am – Wake-up and our famous Polar Bear dip

7:30am – Ocean’s Best – bird calling or carving

8:00am – Prepare for breakfast

8:30am – Breakfast

9:00am – Clean up site/tents and prepare for full day of adventure

9:15am –  Howe Sound Morning Activity (snorkeling, raft building, canoe sailing)

12:00pm – Lunch (either on the ocean or on the trail)

12:30pm – Magic Spot (30 minute reflection time)

1:15pm – Afternoon Hower (forest games, hike to Gambier Lake, )

4:30pm – Free time (fort building, bracelet making, fishing, swimming)

5:30pm – Prepare for dinner

6:30pm – Evening group paddle

8:30pm – Sunset watch with campfire

9:30pm – Brush teeth & story time
