Vancouver Outdoor School is an official Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Centre. We support youth in completing their Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards through outdoor education, mentorship, and fully supported Adventurous Journeys delivered in partnership with our sister company, Fireside Adventures.

What is the Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s largest youth leadership award and is recognized by employers, colleges, and universities. The Award encourages personal growth, community engagement, and adventurous pursuits. Tailored for ages 13-24, this prestigious award cultivates resilience, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. The program encompasses Skill Development, Community Service, Physical Fitness, and an Adventurous Journey, which all our expeditions are designed to fit.

YOUR Responsibility:
- 1 hour per week of service, skill, and physical recreation
- Complete an adventurous camping journey (Click HERE to see applicable trips through Fireside Adventures)
- Track your progress in HERE in the online record book
- Finish award requirements independently
