The Registration Process

Optional: Deciding whether you’re interested? Attend a virtual open-house meeting or reach out directly to VOS to learn more. 
Step 1: Register for your try-it-out day ($50 + GST)
Step 2: Attend your complimentary 1:1 consult with the VOS Director. This is when we’ll figure out the when/where/what/how of your try-out.
Step 3: Come try Fieldschool out
Step 4: Decide what registration option you would like and enroll
Step 5: Leap into the adventure ahead!

Included in the fee

✔ Fieldschool instructors (1:6 ratio). Instructors hold a post-secondary degree, teaching degree (B.Ed), ECE degree, CYW degree, or equivalent. All lead instructors on overnights are WFA certified.

✔ Transportation (public transit and standard shuttle services) to and from all activities.

✔ 12 flexible drop-off options around Metro Vancouver to ensure that you are within a 30-minute drive max (everywhere west of Langley). 

✔ Admission and equipment, including but not limited to… paddle boarding, canoeing, snowshoeing, museums, a parkour gym (with a professional instructor), an art studio (with a professional instructor), swimming, skating, curling, indoor bouldering, sailing lessons, a 40,000 sqare foot hangar on a farm... and not to mention classic outdoor experiential educational experiences with biking, hiking, bushcraft, leadership training and more. ✔ Daily updates including photos, videos, written recaps, and correspondence with instructors. Transparent access to our daily and weekly lesson plans.

✔ Priority access and guidance around joining our spring and summer programming with our sister company, Fireside Adventures, as well as our Fieldschool Extension program (overnight trips and longer Field trips for teens).

✔ Automatically earn sections of your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (age 13+) during Fieldschool and all other programs.

    Commitment: 10-pass must be used by the end of the semester. We also accept single-day registrations on Pro-D days only.
